Increase follows filing of new felony charge

AMITE, La. –

A Tangipahoa Parish judge late Tuesday increased bond to $1 million for a woman named as a suspect in the murder and dismemberment of 22-year-old Jaren Lockhart.

The increase in bond comes one day after prosecutors filed a new felony charge of harboring a sex offender against 28-year-old Margaret Sanchez. Judge Brenda Hicks made the change.

Margaret Sanchez, 28, who has been named along with Terry Speaks as a suspect in the gruesome murder and dismemberment of Jaren Lockhart, was charged on Monday evening with harboring a sex offender, said Tangipahoa Parish spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto.
