Alexandria – Derrick Pickens charged with murder; victim ID’d as Erika Davis

A 34-year-old Alexandria man was charged with first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder in two attacks that took place Tuesday afternoon in Alexandria, Alexandria police said.

Police charged Derrick Pickens in the death of a Erika Davis, 33, who lived on Bertie Street.

Sgt. Bruce Fairbanks said Pickens turned himself in Tuesday evening.
